Paige is 3

Paige has been telling me for a few weeks now that when she turns 3 she
is going to be a better listener and not destroy stuff. The night she
turned 3, I was tucking her into bed and commenting that this was her
first night to go to bed as a 3 year old. She did a big yawn and then
turned and casually commented, "Yeah, but I am still going to be
destructive."

Chloe

Today after school, I took the girls with me to Starbucks so that mommy
could get a "pick me up" Americano. As we were talking, Paige began to
comment on the Starbucks logo (the mermaid-looking girl who you see from
the waist up). She was saying that she looked pretty when Chloe piped
up, "Yeah she is pretty, but that is abstract art...you know like Pablo
Picasso" I questioned her further about what abstract art is and she
answered, "It's like when a picture doesn't look totally real."--whoa!
I am glad she has a good art teacher at school :). At this exchange, I
began to laugh at the wonder of her, and I made the comment, "What would
I do without you." At this she began to question what I would do with
just one kid. I explained to her that I would hate to loose either of my
two girls and exclaimed, "If I were to loose one of you, that would be
the worst thing in the whole world." Chloe thought this over and then
told me, "No mom, being killed by lions would be the worst thing in the
whole world."--nice
