funny day

Today as we were riding home in the car, Paige suddenly exclaimed, "My
nickname is....my nickname is.... my nickname is....Sleeping Beauty."
She is fascinated with Sleeping Beauty and has now decided that we
should address her as such.

Greg was commenting that Chloe writes with her left hand, but she seems
to do other stuff such as throw a ball with her right. When he
questioned her why she uses different hands, she explained, "I am using
my right hand to save my energy so that I can write with my left hand."

new nighttime song

Since birth, I have been singing a lovely Irish lullaby to Paige before
she goes to sleep. It was a tranquil tune and Paige would even sing
along at times. Over the past few weeks, she has stopped me in the
middle of the song to request "Jingle Bells." Tonight, before I even
began singing, she said, "Mommy, let's sing Jingle Bells." I guess it
is official. The new bedtime song is Jingle Bells--regardless of the
fact that it is the end of March!

chloe's birthday

Today is Chloe's birthday. She turned 5. She woke up this morning and
exclaimed, "This is the day I have been waiting for!" She then
proceeded to go around the house showing me how she can jump higher on
the little trampoline and lift her sister higher in the air....all
because she is 5. The best thing is that it isn't even 6:00 am yet! It
should prove to be an interesting day.

a little bit about Paige

Paige's vocabulary continues to explode! She is speaking in clear full
sentences and even throwing in "actually." One cute thing she still
holds on to is calling hummus "tummus"--she asks "Can I have more tummus
on my plate please?"

chloe the drama queen

In the space of 2 days, Chloe came up with some "dramatic episodes" that
are worth recording. When playing at her Grammy's house, the girls were
playing tea party. Grammy said that Paige could pour the tea first when
Chloe flew off the handle exclaiming, "She always gets to go first. She
has a hundred hours of going first and I have none. I feel so empty
inside!"

The next day, Paige put on a nightgown she had received for Christmas.
Upon seeing Paige's new "twirly nightgown" Chloe began to sob that she
had no twirly nightgowns and her sister looked, "So very beautiful,
beautiful, beautiful, and I just look hideous!"

On another funny side note, when asked yesterday if Chloe wanted some
broccoli, she said, "No, I will pass." She is such a little grown up!
