thunderstorms

Paige came out of her room tonight because the thunderstorm woke her
up. She was asking what the sound was. I explained it was a
thunderstorm and how it is just a sound in the sky, and it can't hurt
us...the whole 2 minute explanation. I finally ended my scientific
explanation of thunder with the question, "Was it scary?" A huge grin
spread across her face and she replied, "No it's not scary, I like it.
It sounds like a cow."

Paige's vocabulary

Paige's vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds. She now prefaces
several sentences a day with the word "actually" and told me the other
day that I should move my foot from the edge of the sandbox OTHERWISE it
might fall in and get dirty.

Chloe's new word

I was discussing the dangers of crossing the street at an intersection
with Chloe. I was saying that there were lots of accidents in
intersections because that was where cars crossed paths. Upon hearing
that there were accidents, she told me that they should be called
"Injuresections"
