Paige developments

Paige has begun clapping and waving on cue. She is so proud of her new
skill and does it a large part of the day. We are also working on the
"How big is Paige?.....She's soooooo big" routine. Paige will start
waving, then clap and then attempt to do the so big. She loves to do
her new tricks.

She also cut her first two teeth in the last 2 weeks. She hasn't
figured out what those strange hard things are in her mouth yet!
Teething has been rough on her so far--grumpy, feverish, and painful :(
Hang in there Paige!

chloe funnies

Today Chloe used the word "sluggish" correctly in context. She was
describing a monster that moved slowly. When asked what she thought
sluggish meant, she said, "You know, slow like a slug." and then
proceeded to squirm on the ground to further demonstrate her understanding.

When playing a game today with Chloe, Mommy, and Grammy, Chloe sprinkled
pretend pixie dust on our heads to make us fall asleep. When Grammy
said that she was wearing a helmet and that the Pixie dust had no
effect, Chloe responded that she resprinkled it through the "Holes in
Grammy's helmet--now you can fall asleep!"

When prodding Chloe to use her good manners to get a taste of pudding,
Chloe said that she needed to go to the store and buy some. Cleverly
seeing that she was setting me up to need to go to her playroom and ring
her up on the cash register, I told her that I had already bought some
and that they were in the pantry. She went to the pantry, pretended to
take something out of the pantry and eat it. She said that they tasted
"old and broken" and that she "Wasn't sure that these old manners would
work." She asked me for a spoon of pudding and purposefully didn't say
please and quickly exclaimed, "Yep, they are old because they didn't
work." I told her to get some fresh manners out of the pantry. She
went back and pretended to gobble up the fresh manners. She returned
and asked for a bite using the word please. I guess these were fresh
enough that they worked.
